Evermore Dream Team
What is the Dream Team?
The dream team is a group of Evermore fans, who together, help Evermore at shows/concerts/events, song requesting and voting, designing and anything else that comes their way. For doing so, they are able to be part of special dream team only events, win cool prizes and sometimes even win prizes to meet the band. If you're interested in joining, click the orange circle, top left on the Evermore website.

Dream Team Report 6 - Janne UK
Dream Team Report 5 - Janne UK
Hi guys
I'm Janne and also the street team leader in the UK! I met up with the boys last summer and decided to be in charge of the UK street team after the few days we spent together in the capital. they had a couple of concerts in London however there were only ozzys in the crowd.
Last fall it's too late remix was played in clubs around London but not on the radio. i called the radio stations and they said that it was not radio material. I haven't gotten them on the radio in London but in other cities such as Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham etc.
In order to create awareness of evermore i have set up the profile on
bebo: www.bebo.com/evermoremusic, I had help setting up the myspace
profile: www.myspace.com/evermoreuk, and this week the profile on facebook will be up and going! i have tried to get people to join the street team, but with a low pace it has been growing a bit. Hopefully the myspace profile will be a help to its growth.
I have contacted the major festivals around Europe, sent out demos and I have received much positive feedback. If they want to play at some of these they have to go through a booking agent asap. There is nothing more i can do!
So, this is mainly what I have been doing the last 9 months. So I hope we will be seeing much of evermore in the UK and the rest of Europe in the near future. The request is defiantly there.
Cheers,
Janne
Dream Team Report 5 - Carolyn USA
Hello All! I'm Carolyn, the US team leader. I discovered Evermore while studying in Queensland a few years ago. I couldn't believe that such an amazing band had gone virtually undiscovered in America. So it's quite exciting to have the opportunity to help change that.Like many of the team leaders, I started off by creating a Myspace Page (http://www.myspace.com/evermoreus). I've also created a Google Group
(http://groups.google.com/group/EVERMOREUS) which will hopefully reach out to people who don't have Myspace. Through both Myspace and the Google Group, I'm trying to keep up with the Evermore bulletins and happenings, and emailing/recruiting people. I've also been posting blogs with creative ideas for promoting Evermore (e.g. creating an email signature file with links to Evermore stuff).
Additionally, I have been contacting/sending CDs to radio stations and music festivals around the US. I'm trying to use my contact's at Clear Channel (CCU) to get something rolling, but it's a slow process. Though I have gotten several positive responses from radio stations and a few DJs, so hopefully that will continue.
Even though Evermore couldn't make it to the US as planned, I had several offers from people in California and Texas offering to help promote for the shows. So I'm putting the word out and hopefully we'll have some regional US leaders in the near future.
I think that's all for now. Take Care!
Carolyn
Dream Team Report 4 - Kate SA
Hey guys!I'm Kate and I'm state leader for South Australia. Like most people, I kept hearing 'It's Too Late' and 'For One Day' on the radio, television etc. and really liked them. I first saw them live in early 2005 at an outdoor concert. Seeing people crowd-surfing to the young brothers from Feilding was an interesting experience. I had the pleasure of meeting them a few months later at a radio station, and was definitely impressed by their down to earth attitude. I soon hopped on their forum, and was the only South Aussie to jump at the opportunity to be the local street team leader. This has been a really rewarding experience. I've seen some great shows and met some amazing fellow Evermore fans.
So what I've been doing... as some of you would know, I've put up a South Australian Dream Team Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/evermorestreetteam_sa which has had a great response. I try to post bulletins every now and then, just reminding/harassing everyone about competitions and voting that's going on. Speaking of which, I've only received one entry for the South Australian t-shirt competition. It's a great one, but I'd love to see what other ideas are out there. I've been trying to add as many South Aussie Evermore fans as I can find, but if anyone knows someone who might be interested, send them over.
I've also been looking into designing a flyer advertising the dream team/mailing list. I thought it might help to put them around town, shopping centres, CD stores, pubs, etc. I'm sure there are lots more fans out there who just aren't all that internet-savvy and haven't yet found us. Only problem is, I'm not that great with the designing side of things.
If anyone wants to get involved, please email me at kate@evermoreband.com and help me out!
That's about it. Keep competition entries coming, keep voting.
Kate.
Dream Team Report 3 - Laura from NZ
Since Maud and Helena introduced themselves in their report I'd better do the same J I'm Laura from NZ. I run quite a few Street Teams over here and also work for a music management company, so when the NZ Dream Team came up it was a no brainer to go for it!It's been a very busy month for the NZ Dream Team with the boys coming over here and doing a bit of a mini tour. We had competitions galore to promote all the gigs and we're still working away at collecting names for the database.
So first of all, the mini tour.
Evermore supported Snow Patrol at their Auckland show and I was given 2 double passes to give away to NZ Dream Teamers. I came up with a voting competition to get the new single Unbreakable up in the NZ charts. Teamers were encouraged to vote as much as they could then email me with their efforts. The top two voters were given the double passes.
And then at the Snow Patrol gig I spent the time before acts, in between
acts and after everyone had played, going round and handing out flyers
for Evermore's next NZ gig, the first ever Myspace Secret Show in NZ.
I also collected a heap more names and email address for the newsletter
database.
In the week leading up to that Myspace show I hit the streets during lunchtime and handed out over 1500 flyers to people around Auckland. I also sent a call out to dream teamers to help with the flyers and sent some out to be handed out at schools / unis / workplaces.
At the myspace show I recruited two volunteers to round up more names and emails for the newsletter database and did the same myself. Thanks to Claire and Lydia for this!
Two days later was the last gig in the mini tour. Evermore played at the Rock the Park with Eskimo Joe and the Feelers and it was a great opportunity to collect even more names and email addresses! Phew our database has got to be looking healthy now!
Presently it's slowed down a bit, but as NZers can vote for the MTV Oz awards I'm pushing that competition through the myspace page. Of course there are regular bulletins about voting for Unbreakable and the competition to design up a new tshirt logo for the NZ Dream Team. I've already had a few entries and they're looking good!
I think that's it for now. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
Laura
Dream Team Report 2 - Helena QLD
Hey everyone!I'm Helena and I'm state leader for Queensland. I kept hearing It's Too Late, went to an instore for Dreams and got hooked! I joined the street team shortly after and helped out with voting, etc. I kind of got my position through default since no one else from QLD volunteered, and I've helped out at shows and run the QLD Dream Team MySpace (which you should join if you're from QLD!).
I've tried to keep up with posting bulletins about requesting and competitions, usually around the same time that Dream Team emails get sent out (just to be more in-your-face!). I've made a few suggestions to Rach and Cath, like getting up a state-specific email database since not everyone has a MySpace. I don't think I've been nearly as busy as Maud from the Netherlands has been, but with Unbreakable just released we can gear up and get into the requesting and voting again!
I still haven't received any QLD Dream Team tshirt designs so my inbox is waiting for them! I'm sure there's got to be some budding graphic designers and those who enjoy mucking around in Photoshop/MS Paint out there. Email your design
Dream Team Leader Report 1 - The Netherlands
Hi everyone,
How goes it? I'm introducing a new concept into the dream team today. Every week I'm going to ask a dream team leader (either from an Australian state, or from another country) to write up a report on their progress so that you guys can see whats happening all over the place, put in your ideas, get involved in other areas (yes, you can help overseas dream teams!) and get a feel for this little family we call the Evermore 'dream team'. Any feedback send me an email to rachel@scorpiomusic.com.au
First to report is Maud from our Netherlands Dream Team:
Ok I'm the first one to report. I'm Maud and I run the Dutch Dream/Street team. I joined the streetteam after my trip to Australia in 2005. I saw Evermore play in Byron Bay and really liked their music so I bought their album Dreams.
My friend had tickets for HomeBake and I had to be at the front when Evermore did their show!! After we bumped in to Peter and we had a chat! What a nice guy!
So when I got back home I joined the streetteam and followed them through internet. When they came to the UK last July I didn't have to think twice and bought tickets and I was on my way! After their gig I had a chat with Rebekah and she asked me if I wanted to set up a streetteam in Holland……and here I am!!! (now you know a bit how I met them).
I started with getting my myspace up and sending out emails after emails…(can't remember how many I've send) to random people on myspace and to all the radio stations!! I got some demo's in and started sending them to the major festival organizers and radio stations!! In the mean time I got some reactions back from Dutch people who were keen on Evermore as well!! But it's hard to get an unknown band onto the radio or even get people to check it out!! Luckily my brother knows a guy who is a side kick at a radio station ,and it took a while before I got a reaction, but last week my brother had a message that he was really interested in their music so that's good news and now hoping that something good comes out of that!! Further I've been writing Dreamteam newsletters to ask people to request Evermore on the radio and tell anybody they know about Evermore : Spread the word!!!! I've send people stickers so they can put them up!! But most off all it's sending out emails and waiting!! In May I'm going to a big festival and I'm gonna try to do some promotion there and see if I can find one of the DJ's who are hosting the festival and make them keen too!
And trying to get the management to release the album here!! So I'm bugging Rachel a lot!!
This is kinda what I've been doing so far. If any of you have some ideas then please let me know!!
Signing of and back to my study books!!
Cheers Maud
